Okay, now we’ve gone over a brief introduction of business and business careers. Let’s look specifically at the concept of opportunity or more specifically career opportunities. Well, the first topic that we cover is the idea of generating opportunities, recognizing them when they materialize and then ultimately taking advantage of them what we refer to as exploiting them.

From there we look to Competence and fit in the hiring process, two things that our employers are primarily looking for, and we dissuade some of the misconceptions about which is more important. And then lastly, we talk about fit, bias, and overcoming. Because anytime you have Psychological aspects at play, like someone determining whether you are a good fit in the organization or no, there’s going to be bias inherent in that scenario.

So we give some explanation of that and some tips on how you overcome that. So without further ado, let’s jump in.
